Rosehip Oil is one of the most regenerative oils and is a well known remedy for dry skin, scars and stretch marks.
Our Rosehip Oil is recommended for both face and body.
Rosehip oil is rich in essential fatty acids and antioxidants, which are crucial for tissue and cell regeneration in the skin. The oil has been used in  folk medicine for wound healing, as well as the reduction of scars and fine lines. Today, after many studies, it’s one of the most recommended oil by dermatologists.
In one study, participants with post-surgical scars treated their incision site twice per day with topical rosehip oil. After 12 weeks of use, the group using rosehip oil experienced significant improvements in scar colour and inflammation when compared to the group who received no topical treatment.
Rosehip Oil also helps with hyperpigmentation.
Hyperpigmentation happens when excess melanin forms dark spots or patches on the skin. This can be caused by:
- sun exposure
- hormonal changes, such as with pregnancy or menopause
- certain medications, including birth control pills and chemotherapy medication
Rosehip oil is rich in vitamin A, which which will be converted to retinol in the liver. Retinol is known to reduce hyperpigmentation and other visible signs of skin damage with regular use.
Rosehip oil also contains both lycopene and beta carotene, both have skin brightening properties.
How to use it:
Place 3-5 drops on your palm and massage it into your skin. You can also mix a few drops with your moisturiser.
If you use a moisturiser separately, make sure the oil is the last product you use. Oils lock all the moisture in and protect the skin.
If you use it on the body: place a little oil on your palm and massage it onto the damp skin, ideally after the shower.
FAQs
Q: Do I need a moisturiser and a face oil?                                                     No. You can use both, but we don’t use moisturisers at all. Why? Because a good face oil is all you need. It moisturises, protects, nourishes and adds that lovely glow. Also, oils are the most direct way of using applying plant goodness onto the skin. We simply take the seeds, cold-press them and bottle them. We don’t use any preservatives or fillers. Oils are the purest form of a plant, ready to use and enjoy. We find moisturisers too loaded with preservatives and synthetic chemicals simply to make sure no microbes grow in them ( after all you put your finger in the jar every time you use a moisturiser). We stick to oils only.
We are a cruelty free company and never test on animals. All our products are local and sustainable. We use seeds that by-products of the European food production farming, ensuring huge savings of carbon footprint and water. Local seeds mean little transport and no lengthly storage. Strict EU farming laws also ensure the highest quality of the seeds available on the market, making our products not only sustainable but also of incredible quality.
